Menstruation Dialogue 2026 is an annual convening that creates a safe and inclusive space where grassroots realities, lived experiences, research, and sectoral insights come together to inform policy and practice. The Dialogue seeks to reimagine what menstrual equity looks like in the Indian context and beyond by centring voices that are often excluded from mainstream conversations on menstruation.

As part of the event, the Special Issue on Menstrual Health and Hygiene, published by the Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP), will be officially released on 1 July 2026. The publication brings together multidisciplinary perspectives, lived realities, and policy-practice frameworks on menstrual health as a critical issue of public health, gender justice, and development. It serves as a platform that amplifies voices from both grassroots and academic communities working to advance dignity, equity, and access in the field of menstruation.

Aligned with the Dialogue's theme—Re-centring Lived Realities, Research, Policy and Collective Action—the Special Issue reflects the importance of placing lived experiences, community knowledge, and collaborative action at the centre of conversations on menstrual equity and social change.
