The Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP), as part of Bazm-e-Sukhan and in collaboration with the Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) and A-CODE, warmly invites you to Jashn-e-Aazadi—an evening celebrating India’s Independence through Basant songs, patriotic poetry, and literature.
The programme will feature Yousuf Saeed, independent filmmaker, author, and archivist of arts and culture in South Asia, who will introduce his latest book, Aaj Rachyo Hai Basant Nijam Ghar, a richly illustrated work documenting the cultural heritage of Basant.
The evening will also include a special presentation of patriotic Urdu poetry by Dr. Atiya Mujeeb Arefi and Dr. Gul-e-Rana, hosted by Dr. Humera Sayeed.
