Hyderabad hosts Ethical AI and Governance at DCS 2025

The Digital Citizen Summit (DCS) 2025 will be held in Hyderabad on 14–15 November 2025, co-organised by the Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF), Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP), the Telangana government and other partners. Under the theme “People and Platforms: Let’s Talk Accountability”, the summit aims to examine how innovation, regulation, citizen agency, digital justice and platform power interact in shaping digital spaces. Key tracks include data governance, digital justice, community resilience, misinformation, digital inclusion, and climate-relevant digital solutions. There will also be a focus on how marginalized groups — including women, gender-diverse persons and historically excluded communities — navigate digital platforms. A distinct feature is the Just AI Awards, spotlighting ethically designed AI innovations for social good and inclusive governance; this year the awards expand to include Asia-Pacific entrants.
